Before and After

WOW, if there is something that desperate people is denial. For many reasons, one of those is the inability for solving problems, or worse intervening the wrong problem. Such is the case of Venezuelan protests, which started as pacific as a gathering of students showing their hands painted in white, or showing the  Venezuelan flag among other symbols, for telling the rest of the people and the rest of the world that they need some changes, one of those being the eradication of violence which has been a major issue in the last years. To deny that Venezuela has a high criminality rate is to deny that some solutions might come, to deny that even kids are violent and have guns is not seeking for helping those kids who deserve  a better life than being a thief or a drug dealer in low income areas of the country. So,  it is happening with so many problems when the answer of the government to every thing that happens lately is "nothing is happening", more over how can somebody say that Venezuelan health care system is collapsed because radical oppositors are the obstacle to get  access to health care centers? The Venezuelan Health Care system is collapsed years ago and this crisis has deepened in the last decade without  the proper management in every sense, so now if you go to a public health care center for getting attention you barely will see, alcohol, cotton, gaze, not talking about chemotherapy for oncologic patients or the 15000 patients that are in waiting list at the hospitals for surgical intervention. On the other hand you might see infrastructure very new but never installed for its use, equipment for radiology never used and with dust all over and drugs that are expired before arrival to the health care centers because they were bought cheap but a receipt with huge amounts are to be found instead. So when students continue to their protest I cannot say I will not support, on the contrary, I support how brave they are, how wonderful they are, leading their movement even with such an innocence! which continues to grow and  incorporating more and more people from every place in this country, maybe those who were saying at the very beginning that it was only a fight between the privileged ones against the government now might start to realize this is a massive, pacific protest, that gather many sectors of the Venezuelan society, because it was born as a societal movement conducted by university students that includes boys and girls from every corner of this country and as such,  it was born as a plural movement, so please understand once and for all that people from low SES are protesting and don't believe that is only a minority or half Venezuela that is protesting, this is grouping all Venezuelan touched by violence, lack of food, diseases, lack of opportunities and so on chavistas or not. The only violence here comes from government, en example of this is this picture taken by myself today while at the UCV my alma mater, the beautiful pacific songs of the student were repressed by the national guard. As you see there is a difference between before and after the pacific demonstration.
